The Proof is in the Picture!

We got Charlie's 6th month pictures taken last Sunday. His sneak peak was up yesterday and I couldn't help but compare it to his 3 month pictures. He is growing so quickly and I just wish I could slow time down. But what really amazes me is how much his hemangioma has gone down. Look at the difference the medicine has made! The proof is definitely in the picture! :)

3 month picture-- a few weeks BEFORE we started the meds.

LONG Overdue!

Summer break is long gone and a new school year is underway. I spent the last weeks of break soaking up every ounce of Mr. Charlie Boy as I could. Can't believe he is six months old. A lot has happened this month!

Charlie is now eating solid foods. He wasn't too sure what to think at first...but now he gobbles them right up.

This morning I made peas, green beans, yams, peaches, pears, and apples. Charlie has a feast waiting for him in the freezer! :)

Charlie went to Kelly's (daycare) for the first time. Kelly keeps telling me that he is an happy and easy baby! It seems like he really loves it there. He lights up when he sees the other kids. He is the youngest and just loves watching the 3 other boys. Won't be long until he tries to keep up with them!
1st day of daycare
He also turned 6 months old this month. This is by far my favorite stage!  He now has 2 teeth....
 sits up....

rolls over....
 and grabs his toes!
What a fun month it has been!

5 months old!

Charlie turned 5 months old on July 12th. It's crazy how quickly the months are flying by! I just love his big smile:)

Charlie now holds the mirror in front of himself and smiles at his reflection. He thinks it's pretty funny.
 Aunt Becky!
And he finally got to meet his Uncle Will! Will was able to spend some good time with Charlie and also got to be his Godfather at his baptism:) We were happy he made it home for a visit.
Charlie is starting to grab his toys and will play with them for awhile.

But quickly gets mad when he's had enough! :)

Tummy Time! ---Still not rolling over yet....
This is where Charlie thinks he should take all naps.... I work really hard to put him in his crib every nap...but he throws a fit. I put him in his swing and he sleeps instantly and for awhile too. GRRR... But he does sleep all night in his crib. Crazy Kid!
Dad likes to come home and pretend to pick on his after hearing how hard I worked to get him to sleep. My rule: You wake him...you take him:)
We also started rice cereal this week. Charlie wasn't too sure what to think about it and most of it ended up on his bib and face.
Last but not least a family picture before Charlie's baptism!

It's been a busy and fun couple of weeks. My mom and I are headed back to Kansas City next week to take Charlie back to the doctor. Charlie and I also start Kindermusik too. Can't wait! :)

It's been 1 month....

It has been one month since we started Charlie on Propranolol for his hemangioma and what progress we have made! The pictures don't do it justice...but it has really changed!

June 4, 2012--the day we started Propranolol.
June 18, 2012...2 weeks after starting the Propranolol....the swelling has gone down and it's starting to look much better
July 4, 2012--one month after starting Propranolol. If you can't tell from the picture..the color is much lighter and it is completely flat against his face. If you take your finger across his face you can hardly feel it. It is smooth and flat! :) Crazy what a month can do!

June 4th

July 4th

"What?!?!??...the Meds are working?!?!?!"

 "YEAH!!!!!!"
That makes the night time feedings and getting him up to give him the meds so much more worth it! :)

Today one of my very best friends and her husband pick up their THREE beautiful kids in Russia! We couldn't be happier for them. :) Jay and Kelsey--you will make great parents and you sure have a lot of people back home thinking of you today. ENJOY today and we cannot wait to see you and your family of five! Those kids are so lucky to call you their parents:)

Charlie and Jadon :)

I was so lucky and was able to experience being pregnant with my cousin Jenna. Baby Fisher was due 3 weeks before Baby Weieneth. It was fun sharing pregnancy stories and experiences with Jenna. We saw each other several times and were able to compare our baby bellies in person. Our families liked seeing who's belly was bigger and even made us compare them several times over Skype. :)

Fortunately for me Charlie decided to come 2 weeks early. Unfortunately for Jenna, Jadon decided to come more than 2 weeks late! Yep...Charlie ended up 8 days older than Jadon. I would have NEVER guessed that. We pretty much traded due dates. But...none of that matters anymore. We have 2 happy and healthy little boys who we couldn't wait to get together!! And a few weeks ago they met for the 1st time :) Jenna, her husband Matt, and Jadon were back from California and we met them at my sister's house for a little get together. It was great to see them all and really fun to be around another baby that was Charlie's age.

Look how long Baby Jadon is! Poor short Charlie---Daddy is REALLY hoping you get his height! :)
 "Who are you?" :)

SO SO fun to get everyone together! We are just missing an aunt and a few more cousins and their babies!
Doesn't Ava look like such a big girl?!?!!?

We loved meeting you Baby Jadon...can't wait to see you again!

We love Daddy!

Charlie is so lucky to have such a great daddy! :)

My two boys hanging out at my parent's house on Fathers' Day. Look closely and you can find Gabby in the mix as well :)

Charlie loves when Dad finally comes home from work :)
